Slack is introducing dedicated channels where teams can vibe-code together with AI agents directly within the platform. The feature, called Slack Code, includes open, project-specific code channels with dedicated user tabs, alongside capabilities to compare coding changes and preview HTML output before shipping.
Users can tag in coding agents like Anthropic's Claude or Cognition's Devin, which then spin up dedicated code channels for the task. Team members have full visibility into the conversation, can audit code diffs, view live previews of agent output, provide feedback, and approve work before it ships. The coding channels automatically archive themselves upon task completion and provide audit logs for recordkeeping.
Slack Code is available starting today on any Slack plan and works with AI agents available on Slack's marketplace. Founding partners including Claude Code, Devin, Vercel Agent, and GitHub Copilot will integrate seamlessly with code channels.
