Founders have just three days left to apply for Startup Battlefield 200, with the application window closing on June 8 at 11:59 p.m. PT. The flagship startup competition will culminate at TechCrunch Disrupt 2026, scheduled for October at San Francisco's Moscone West, where selected companies will pitch live on the Disrupt Stage in front of top venture capitalists, media, and the broader startup ecosystem. Thousands of early-stage companies have already submitted applications ahead of the deadline. The top prize is $100,000 in equity-free funding, but the program's track record suggests the bigger payoff comes from visibility. Startup Battlefield alumni have collectively raised more than $32 billion in funding and achieved over 250 exits, with companies getting acquired by Microsoft, Google, Salesforce, Uber, and Amazon. Past participants include some of tech's most recognizable names: Dropbox, Discord, Mint, Fitbit, and Trello all got their start in the competition. Selected startups receive a free exhibit table for all three days of Disrupt, four complimentary event passes, branding inside the Disrupt app, and access to founder-only masterclasses. They also get direct feedback from leading investors, press exposure, and lead-generation opportunities. The competition is open to bootstrapped, pre-seed, and seed-stage startups with a working MVP and a vision to disrupt an industry, though some Series A companies in capital-intensive sectors may also qualify. With fundraising markets remaining tight, TechCrunch is pitching the program as a rare chance for founders to cut through the noise and reach the investors and customers that matter. Applications can be submitted directly, or founders can nominate a startup they think deserves a shot before the June 8 deadline passes.
